Welcome to the Elementary Law Program
  In this Program, 5th grade students will embark on a journey designed to create enthusiasm and excitment around the world of law. The three part program will give students a chance to experience a full courtroom setting, take part in a mock trial, and learn about due process of law.

  The Elementary Law Program consists of an elementary teacher and Attorney who together introduce 5th grade students to the Santa Cruz County judicial system. The Attorney and teacher schedule three events.

  The First Event is the Introductory Class to introduce students to the basic structure of the courts and law. The Second Event is a Courthouse Tour & Play where the class is invited to tour a court location and conduct a criminal or civil trial play in an actual courtroom. The Third Event is a Follow-up Class to provide students with an opportunity to ask questions and share their experience.
